Members of Regional Transport Partnerships
The north east's transport is on a journey of transformation and renewal. The regional transport strategy is delivering benefits to our economy, our communities, our environment, our health and our quality of life. If you're wondering what difference you can make in all this, the answer is "a great deal". In Nestrans, the north east transport partnership, local government representatives work with non-councillor members drawn from diverse backgrounds and with differing perspectives; they are not paid (expenses apart), but they have real influence.
We are looking for one new non councillor member to join the Partnership Board. If you have constructive ideas about transport and some experience of working on big issues at strategic level, can you spare the time to help shape the future? You'd be expected to attend at least six meetings a year, for a fixed term of five years.
