Public consultations launched to help deliver vision for the region’s future

Aberdeen City and Shire Strategic Development Planning Authority (SDPA), on behalf of Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils, launched a public consultation today (October 7) to discover what residents and stakeholders think of potential changes to its blueprint for the future.  A public consultation has also been launched into Draft Supplementary Planning Guidance that proposes a method of delivering identified transport projects through a strategic transport fund. North-East Bus Passenger Satisfaction Improves

A survey looking at bus services across the North East has revealed that more than 85% of bus passengers in the North East are satisfied or very satisfied with their local bus service.   This is the second year that this survey has been carried out and results have shown an increase in satisfaction amongst bus passengers across the region since 2010. Carried out in partnership between Nestrans, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Councils, the 2011 survey saw more than 1,000 passengers across the North East asked for their opinion. Passengers were …

Dycelink Service 80 revises timetable

The timetable for the shuttle bus serving the route between Dyce railway station, Aberdeen Airport, heliport and Kirkhill Industrial Estate, will undergo a slight revision, effective from next Monday 13 June. The revised service 80, which has been operated by Central Coaches since April, has additional time built in to ensure that even in heavy traffic, the shuttle bus will arrive at the station in time to meet connecting services. Wellington Road Signal Optimisation Project Voted Success

An initiative designed to optimise traffic lights on Wellington Road for the benefit of southbound heavy goods vehicles has resulted in time savings of up to 19% following its introduction earlier this year. A NEW guide which provides a guide to bus and rail travel in Aberdeen City and Shire will be launched today (Wednesday, June 1) by regional transport partnership Nestrans  in partnership with Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, First in Aberdeen, Stagecoach and the Getabout Partnership. Dycelink Service 80 shuttle bus to get new operator

After two years of successful operation of the shuttle bus serving the route between Dyce railway station, Aberdeen Airport, heliport and Kirkhill Industrial Estate, the service will undergo a change of operator from Monday 11 April. Central Coaches has successfully tendered to operate the service for the next 12 months, using a modern clean-engined vehicle and will provide continuity of service starting on the Monday after the current First operation comes to an end.
