Buchan residents asked for feedback on rural transport issues.

Lucy Johnston 2020, News

Residents from the Buchan area of Aberdeenshire are being invited to share their transport experiences to help inform and shape a new rural transport pilot called BeLinkD.

For those living in rural areas, a lack of adequate transport can be a significant barrier to travel and can result in restricted access to facilities and services.

The BeLinkD pilot will aim to reduce financial pressures and improve the health and wellbeing of Buchan residents living in poverty. It will provide opportunities for them to access cheaper shopping and services, attend health or DWP appointments or interviews, access training opportunities and participate in social activities.

The BeLinkD pilot will be reactivated in coming weeks and it is hoped that by gathering local input the group of partner organisations supporting the pilot can target the limited resource available to the most pressing need.

The short survey can be completed here:  https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GVBPQNP

The survey will close at 4pm on Friday 28th August 2020.
