National Bike Week 18-26 June

National Bike Week starts this Saturday and aims to encourage more people, from beginners to veterans, to get cycling. The Getabout cycle roadshow will be appearing at various sites across the region during the week, including the following public events:

19 June, 10am – 5.30pm at the Aberdeen Highland Games in Hazlehead Park

25 June, 10.00am – 4.00pm in George Street, Aberdeen City Centre (pedestrianised area outside John Lewis) – download more information

The Getabout cycle roadshow will also be at ARI on 24th June and at a number of Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire schools. The Getabout cycle roadshow has various types of fun bikes which people of all ages can try for free.

For those that cant make the roadshow Getabout is also teaming up with the Aberdeen Cycle Forum to do a Cycling Commuter Challenge. Employers can sign up for the scheme and employees can register their journeys. Prizes go to the winners!
