Researchers from Robert Gordon University (RGU) are working with Nestrans, the Aberdeen City and Shire Transport Partnership, in a bid to improve the experience for cyclists in the North-east. Progress on ‘Access for All’ at Insch Station

Work to outline options for improving access to Insch railway station for people with mobility issues will get underway as funding for the project is secured by regional transport partnership Nestrans. The appraisal study, which will assess options for improving access to the south (west-bound) platform at Insch, will be commissioned later this year. Old and new to sit side by side at Kintore Station

A historic bench that once formed part of the original Kintore railway station is to be restored to its former glory as part of the development of the forthcoming new station. The bench, which would have been used by many a passenger at the old station before its closure in 1964, was recently discovered at auction and has now been secured for the project by Aberdeenshire Council and regional transport partnership Nestrans.
