Tyred n Cranky are a Huntly-based mobile bike business offering repair and servicing.
This project supports Tyred n Cranky to deliver events and activities, in partnership with other organisations across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to increase awareness, participation, skilled staffing, and storytelling. These activities may include as an example, but not exclusively; Bike Dr, Cycle Training, Trail Rangers, maintenance training (non-certified), filming, interviewing, and other forms of engagement to capture impact, pop-up community events (e.g. pop-up bike shop, portable bike track).
Tyred n Cranky help people to take a holistic look at their travel behaviours, and work with them to re-look at the impact, help them identify where they can change, and what barriers there might be.
In addition to the pop up events, Tyred n Cranky now have a Aberdeen base at 101 George Street for people to visit for bicycle repairs and servicing, to buy a high quality refurbished bike, pre-loved cycling apparel, or to chat with the team.
