Councillor Alan Turner has been appointed as the new chair of Nestrans. The chair will lead the Regional Transport Partnership, as work continues to deliver the 20-year vision for travel in the north east. Councillor Turner is a member of Aberdeenshire Council representing Stonehaven and Lower Deeside and serves as chair of the council’s Infrastructure Services Committee. £200,000 for Aberdeen bus infrastructure Improving bus reliability and making journeys faster

From Transport Scotland: The Scottish Government has awarded £200,000 to the North East Bus Alliance through the Bus Partnership Fund. This will deliver bus priority infrastructure on Market Street, Guild Street, and Bridge Street in Aberdeen city centre – reducing the impact of congestion on bus services and making journeys quicker for passengers. From Aberdeen City Council People are being asked to take part in online or in-person public consultation for potential options for improving transport connections from the Park and Ride in Ellon to the Garthdee Road corridor in Aberdeen.
