Earlier today (Thursday, 20 January 2022), the Scottish Government announced the publication of their Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR2). 12 million-pound investment secured to transform public transport in the North East

The North East of Scotland Bus Alliance has been successful in its bid for £12 million from Transport Scotland’s Bus Partnership Fund. The ambitious proposals have been developed with the vision to significantly transform public transport provision in the North East. The success of the bid means that early work can begin on the development of an Aberdeen Rapid Transit system, as well as delivering significant bus priority in the city centre, and on key routes into the city. An ambitious project that would offer an opportunity to revitalise public transport in the North East has been welcomed by members of the Nestrans Board as they finalise the next Regional Transport Strategy. Today (Wednesday, 10 February).
