A new consultation will ask those who live and travel along the Aberdeen to Laurencekirk corridor for their input into options for improving walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport along the route. Launching today (Tuesday 24 September), a five-week consultation will ask locals and those who travel along the Aberdeen to Laurencekirk corridor for their views on different ways to boost sustainable travel. Rail stations at Cove and Newtonhill to undergo detailed appraisal
Potential new rail stations at Cove and Newtonhill are to be examined in more detail as work continues to identify improvements to sustainable travel between Aberdeen and Laurencekirk. The stations are part of a list of five measures selected by regional transport partnership, Nestrans, to undergo a detailed options appraisal. Today’s Nestrans board meeting was our final meeting of the year. We welcomed a presentation from Neil Leckie, Senior Programme Manager in the Scottish Transport Team at Energy Saving Trust on the work they do.
