Potential new rail stations at Cove and Newtonhill are to be examined in more detail as work continues to identify improvements to sustainable travel between Aberdeen and Laurencekirk. Largest north east travel study results revealed

The largest ever study of travel in the north east has shed light on how and why we choose to get around the area. Earlier this year, Nestrans commissioned a Comprehensive Travel Study, talking to over 1,000 residents across the region to gain valuable insights into travel behaviours in the north east. The study aims to develop a better understanding of travel patterns, barriers and identify gaps in knowledge, particularly with regards to equalities and social inclusion impacts. Bus Passenger Satisfaction Surveys

Nestrans, supported by the North East Bus Alliance partners, are conducting a bus passenger satisfaction survey across the north east. This research aims to understand the current bus passenger experience of bus services within both local authority areas of Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. Between Monday 30 October and Sunday 3 December, AECOM will be conduct interviews on behalf of Nestrans with members of the public at specified public transport locations, local town centres and on-street locations across the North East of Scotland.
