Councillor Alan Turner has been appointed as the new chair of Nestrans. The chair will lead the Regional Transport Partnership, as work continues to deliver the 20-year vision for travel in the north east. Councillor Turner is a member of Aberdeenshire Council representing Stonehaven and Lower Deeside and serves as chair of the council’s Infrastructure Services Committee. Nestrans’ Board considering next steps for Aberdeen Rapid Transit

The Nestrans Board is set to discuss advancing efforts to deliver a step-change in public transport for the North East, in order to support a more connected, inclusive, sustainable and energised region.    Technical work has been ongoing to develop a detailed appraisal of options for Aberdeen Rapid Transit (ART). 12 million-pound investment secured to transform public transport in the North East

The North East of Scotland Bus Alliance has been successful in its bid for £12 million from Transport Scotland’s Bus Partnership Fund. The ambitious proposals have been developed with the vision to significantly transform public transport provision in the North East.
