Park & Ride figures on the increase

The number of cars using Park & Ride sites across the region is on the increase, according to the latest figures from Nestrans. Members of the North East’s Regional Transport Partnership heard that over 440 drivers per day are making use of bus-based Park & Ride sites in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, an increase of 6.8% on last year’s numbers. The figures come after Nestrans completed its annual patronage spot-surveys across the five bus Park & Ride sites (Bridge of Don, Ellon, Kingswells, Craibstone and Newtonhill). Park and Ride building opens to public

A new building with waiting room, cycle lockers, toilets and showering facilities opened to the public today (12/6/17) at the £15.2 million Park and Ride beside Craibstone roundabout. The waiting accommodation sits alongside a 1,000-space car park and link road, which were previously opened under different phases of the work, and will add to the facilities on offer to bus passengers, car-sharers, cyclists, or walkers.
