Old and new to sit side by side at Kintore Station

A historic bench that once formed part of the original Kintore railway station is to be restored to its former glory as part of the development of the forthcoming new station. The bench, which would have been used by many a passenger at the old station before its closure in 1964, was recently discovered at auction and has now been secured for the project by Aberdeenshire Council and regional transport partnership Nestrans. Plans for Kintore Station to go on display

Plans for infrastructure which will support the forthcoming railway station at Kintore will go on display to the public next week, ahead of the project reaching a major milestone in the coming month when a formal planning application is submitted. A pre-application exhibition will be held next Wednesday (14 March) in Kintore, giving members of the public and stakeholders the opportunity to drop-in and find out more about the project.
