Transport volunteers across the North-east have been recognised for their outstanding service, commitment and contribution at the Grampian Volunteer Transport Awards. The awards, which were first established in 2014, highlight the vital support that community transport provides to those who are elderly, isolated or perhaps have mobility or health issues, who may otherwise face difficulty travelling to key services. Road safety group’s provisional figures show north east road deaths at forty year low

The number of people fatally injured on north east roads is at its lowest level since current records began in 1974, provisional road casualty data shows. The figures have been highlighted by Road Safety North East Scotland (RSNES), a partnership of public bodies promoting safe road use locally. Provisional statistics reveal that during 2017, 14 people died as a result of their involvement in a road traffic collision in the combined local authority areas of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. New online presence for north east road safety partners

Road safety partners across the north east of Scotland will promote safety advice and information from a new Twitter account. Road Safety North East Scotland (RSNES) will share information relevant to the local authority areas managed by Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Moray Council. The partners are drawn from the organisations jointly delivering the North East Scotland Road Casualty Reduction Strategy.
