Peterhead Transport Interchange reopens to customers following improvement works

From Aberdeenshire Council Bus services have resumed at Peterhead’s transport interchange following the completion of a series of improvements to the facility. Work on the project, arranged by Aberdeenshire Council and largely funded by Nestrans, took place over six weeks and has involved a range of repairs, upgrades and new additions to the Windmill Street facility. Update on A90/A952 roads corridor evidence review

Work to update and strengthen the case for improving transport north of Ellon to Fraserburgh and Peterhead has received backing from the Nestrans board, and the Aberdeen City Region Deal Joint Committee. Commissioned by Nestrans, consultants Stantec have now completed an evidence review of earlier studies on the A90(N) and A952 corridors. The original studies, completed in 2017, looked at ways to address road safety, journey times, and reliability north of Aberdeen. Celebrating the launch of north east bike recycling and reuse scheme

Peterhead transport interchange to undergo a programme of improvements during the summer

From Aberdeenshire Council Peterhead’s transport interchange is to undergo a £250,000 programme of improvements during the summer. Opened in 2007, the facility continues to serve as an important entry point to the town centre with both local town bus services and longer distance services operating out of the interchange. Press release from Aberdeenshire Council: Aberdeenshire Council has been successful in its £310,000 project bid to ensure people are able to safely access services in town centres while maintaining physical distancing. Following constructive discussions with Sustrans – which administers the £30 million fund in behalf of the Scottish Government – Aberdeenshire Council’s submission was successful.
