12 million-pound investment secured to transform public transport in the North East

The North East of Scotland Bus Alliance has been successful in its bid for £12 million from Transport Scotland’s Bus Partnership Fund. The ambitious proposals have been developed with the vision to significantly transform public transport provision in the North East. Nestrans 2040, the Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) for the North East of Scotland has been submitted to the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity. As the Regional Transport Partnership for the area, Nestrans have a statutory duty to develop and deliver the long-term regional transport strategy and take forward strategic transport improvements that support and improve the economy, environment and quality of life across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
