The transport vision and direction for the north east for the next 20 years enters its last lap. Nestrans’ draft Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) will shape transport policies and actions for the period up until 2040. Next week Nestrans Board members will discuss the full draft document along with proposals for a final round of consultation. The National Transport Strategy for Scotland (NTS2) was published on 5th February 2020. Chair of Nestrans, Councillor Sandra Macdonald, welcomed it’s publication. “The National Transport Strategy provides a strong foundation for our developing Regional Transport Strategy.
