Nestrans indicators proves things are on track

Nestrans, the Regional Transport Partnership for the North East of Scotland, have released their monitoring report for 2019. The monitoring report is designed to show progress against the objectives of the Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) which is delivered by Nestrans and its partners. Bikers’ views to be sought as part of research into impact and effectiveness of road safety initiatives

As one of the most vulnerable groups of road users, safety campaigns often target motorcyclists, hoping to reduce death and serious injury levels. Now Robert Gordon University (RGU) is working with Road Safety North East Scotland (RSNES) to look at the impact they have actually had on bikers’ attitude and behaviour. As a group of road users, motorcyclists are over-represented in accident and fatality statistics in Scotland.
